On May 11, 12, and 13, Albina Shagimuratova joins the the Houston Symphony as the featured soloist in an all-Mozart program led by maestro Hans Graf. For her Houston concert, Albina will sing two concert arias: “Vorrei spiegarvi, oh Dio” — a heart-wrenching confession and refusal of love — as well as “Bella mia fiamma – Resta, o cara,” which recounts Titano’s farewell to his beloved Persephone. Hans Graf and the Houston Symphony will also perform Mozart’s Symphony No. 31 “Paris” and No. 38 “Prague,” in addition to the composer’s Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra, featuring principal bassoonist Rian Craypo.
